Okay. So. The Montrose Magpies - absolutely having the best season in history. I mean, I wasn't always a Magpies supporter, growing up living so close to the Arrows you sort of have to support them, and I feel a little like a traitor, but you can't deny that the Magpies are taking it all the way to the Championship this time.
Also, I forgot what living with a girl is like. I love my sister. I love her. I won't murder her with her own nylon stockings. Even if she keeps leaving them hanging up in the shower.

So, my sister leaves Hogwarts in a week. I've been thinking back a lot to how I felt when I was finishing those last exams - things aren't really turning out like I thought they would. I don't know that I mind so much now, though.

Good games this weekend, all of them.
And to segue right into asking a question - what sort of gifts are good for when girls graduate from Hogwarts? One of my sisters is finished in just a few weeks, and I'm not sure what to get her.
I thought maybe Stu would help but Any ideas?

I should have said this a few days ago, but: CRISIS AVERTED! Found an awesome roommate, so I won't have to move or start begging friends for their couches.
Spent the other day painting the spare room so that he can move in. It made me think maybe I want to paint my room, too. I'll have to think about it.

Wow. Looks like Montrose Wigtown might be the team to beat this season, huh? 420 spread after two games isn't a bad way to start a season.
I wrote Montrose there first, but only because I was thinking Montrose has a better chance overall this season. It's Wigtown with the lead.

Shit. I guess I need to find another roommate - or find another flat. I just moved in! Does anyone need to move - or know anyone who's looking for a roommate? I really don't want to have to pack up all my things again.

I can go to this thing this weekend without actually having to buy anyone, right? I mean, if I pay the price for the ticket and dinner and all, I'm still helping the charity? Because I want to help, and I definitely want to go. I just know don't think I'd be able to outbid anyone.

My new flat is sort of brilliant. No, it's really brilliant - now that Julien helped me get all my things sorted. He's really pretty brilliant at Charms, which will come in handy because I was always rubbish at the useful things like being able to unshrink things once I'd shrunk them.
Anyway, it's brilliant. And I'm really liking working for the WWW so far - I mean, who wouldn't like working there? Pretty much the most brilliant job I could think of. I just hope I don't screw this one up and that it sticks. Even if so far I'm just learning the ropes. I think I like the Diagon location a little better than the Hogsmeade one, though. Diagon is just always so much more exciting than Hogsmeade usually is, you know?
As for the All-Stars' match - it was a great game, right there until the end.

Bad luck for the Wasps, but did anyone expect the Catapults to score that high? I mean, it was epic. I tuned in around the end of the first twenty minutes or so, just to check the score, and it was so close I ended up listening for the whole sodding match! If the Kenmare and Wigtown game tops that this week, it'll definitely be a great end to the preseason.
Anyway - does anyone know anyplace hiring? Preferably in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade? I'm about to start letting out a flat with my mate Julien, and I definitely need something that pays a little more regularly than my grandad's market stall in Brixton.

Right. My sisters got together and gave me this and a new quill set for Christmas, because, as Ellie says, they're going to be all the rage. It'll be easier to write them this way, I guess, instead of going to the owl post in Diagon every time I want to write them a letter.
I just still can't shake the idea that I'm writing in a bloody diary you know?
I suppose I'm a bit late in on things here to be asking about New Year? But I think that was the last exciting thing that happened, and Maisie says I should write about exciting things. My resolution was to choose better jobs - before Christmas I had a job loading turkeys onto a lorry. That's what they said I was hired for, anyway. When I got there they handed me gloves and a knife and told me to start gutting, instead.
Didn't last too long there. So, I'm looking again. This will be a better way to procrastinate while I'm filling out applications, I guess.
Montrose all the way this weekend!
